Audition: Cargo (YES)
#1
Real Name: Chase
Age: 16 (Birthday: January 16, 1990)
Education Level: Going into my senior year of High School
Registration Date: 05-27-2006 however I have been a member previously to this (as Nail) I don't remember when I joined but it was early 2005.

1) First and foremost, why should you be selected to play?

Well, first of all, I should be selected to play because I am on Chubbs a lot. I roleplay more actively now and I make sigs. If something needs to be done, like reviewing a potential member and accepting or denying them, or updating someone's profile, I would do it quickly. I think I could be a positive influence on the RPG. Also, I love Chubbs. It is a fun environment for me where I have made a lot of friends. I talk to people on Chubbs everyday and I am friendly with most of the members. I feel that if anyone had a problem, they could come to me and ask me for help or to do something for them. Lastly, I think this will be a good experience for me and I can learn new things about being a leader. Hopefully, I can use the things that I know and help Chubbs out.

2) What qualities do you possess that will make you the Idol?

An important part of my life is my diabetes. I have had this disease since I was in 7th grade. When I was younger, you could just call me lazy. The diabetes awoke something inside of me. I had to work at getting the diabetes under control. There was no attacking it with mediocrity. I had to work with all of my potential to get my blood sugar to half of what it had to be. There was eating the right foods, taking the right amount of insulin, testing my blood sugar at the right time. It could be very confusing. This effort I put out transferred to school and all other facets of my life. I would apply this same sense of dedication and effort in Chubbs. The fact that I am passionate about Chubbs only helps. I would dedicate myself to helping the RPG function as smoothly as possible.

Also, I have experience with html coding and computer graphics. You have seen my sigs and such. I have taken classes at my high school in HTML and Javascript coding. I put this learning into a blog I did in my english class. I love computers and everything to do with them. I might even major in computer science or computer graphics in college. I want to go to Carnegie Mellon, a premier college in this field. I can use my knowledge of computers to help the site by updating it or whatever needs to be done.

Another quality that I possess is leadership. At my school, I am the leader of a couple of groups at the school. I am the co-president of the anime club and president of the select singing group, The Quaker's Dozen. Also, even though I am not the leader of other groups, I contribute all that I can to it. I try my best to make the chorus at my school the best it can be. Also, the coach of my tennis team comes to me whenever she needs something done, even though I am not the captain. Leadership is obviously an important part of being a staff member

3) Tell me any previous experience you have with running an RPG. Included should be the name of the RPG, the genre, and how long it lasted.

I helped code a RPG but didn't help run it. I don't know what happened to it now.

4) Finally, you need to write a short essay/description (200+ words) of what you feel being a staff member of Chubbs is all about. What do you think is nessecary, what do you think has to be done. Be detailed, as much as you can. Don't kiss our asses, we arn't looking for compliments.

Being a staff member is a job that is not easy. There are many things involved. Firstly, keeping the site up and running is the most important thing. If Chubbs is not functioning properly, then no one can use the site and no one can get the enjoyment out of it. This means all the boards have to work properly, all the mods have to make sure the game or saga they are running is going smoothly. This brings me to another qualification of a staff member.

Being able to deal with unruly members quickly and efficiently is a very important quality. People like this, which spam a lot or are overly boisterous, can not be allowed to continue to do that. This is difficult because staff should also be forgiving. There is a fine line between being a hard ass and being a good manager. They need to be able to judge what crosses the line between having good fun and flaming. If an argument erupts between two members of the RPG, a staff member needs to either end it quickly or find another constructive way to deal with it.

Open-mindedness is another necessary feature of staff. The ability to see when they are wrong and adapt the situation to make it right is very important. Going hand in hand with this is the respect that a staff member can command. Without respect, members of the RPG may not listen to him or her, and therefore the RPG will not gel as well as it could. The ability to be fun while doing the aforementioned things is great and, to me, is near the top of my list of necessities. If a person can do all of the things that I mentioned, I believe that they would be a great member of the staff.

I'm on the fence. The application was really, really good. But knowing you personally, you have a tendancy to be...how do I put it...too friendly.

I guess I'll go with my fellow judges judgement, and let Krillin and HF vote

lol.

That is true BJ.

I am a very friendly person. The advantage of this is I don't get on anyone's bad side and if I ask someone for help or, in the staff sense, tell them to do something (or not to do something) they are more likely to do it. I know when something is wrong and should not be done, like Kilah's "stupidest game" fiasco or whatever that was . . .

When I said too friendly, I meant annoying. Was trying to be nice.

Besides that, I think your application was one of the best and will probably set you up to compete in the game.
