Something to think about!!!
#1
I've had this conversation with many of my friends and family... so i might as well ask you guys.

In the final minutes of the Gohan vs Cell fight, during the kamehameha battle. (to my knowledge) When vegeta attacks cell from behind he is not super saiya-jin or ssj ultra. My question is this....

I don't understand how Vegeta's attack is the onlyone to even efftect cell if he wasn't in his super saiya-jin form. My theory is that Piccalo and vegeta would have similar powerlevels if they were both in there regular forms, so why wouldn't piccalo and the rest of the z fighters hurt cell combined????

But if Vegeta was actually in super saiya-jin form, then my question is meaningless

Vegeta didn't hurt him, he distracted his focus form the ki beam.

My theory to that is that he was a SSJ, but once he released his attack, he pushed all of his power into it and lost his SSJ due to the energy output....but then again, DBZ is known for it's crazyness...like, the Spirit Bomb goku did barely hurt Furiza, but a single beam as a ssj nearly killed him...

Yeah a few of my cousins watched dbz when it was on Toonami like 1,000 years ago.

So your saying HF that Vegeta alone had more power in one attack to distract Cell, more than like 4 Z Fighters???

Thirteen, Goku became much stronger when he went SSJ. Plus, the genki dama did hurt him, just not too noticeably.

Nappa, no. Did anyone else try to distract him? I don't think so.

I agree with HF...everyone else was doing it dead on...striking cell while cell was paying attention. Vegeta's attack came from a blind spot, knocking him off balance and it broke his concentration, thus giving Gohan the opportunity to finish the job.

Yes all the available Z fighters attacked him at the same time, while Vegeta was in the backround talking to himself. I'm pretty sure it was.... Piccalo, Krillen, Tien, Yamcha, all at the same exact time. They were blown away once, and they attack heim again. But vegeta attacked him by himself and did it.

I haven't seen that episode in years, but listen to Thirteen. All I know is Cell was hit by the blast from Vegeta before he saw it.

Piccolo attacked first which Cell didn't see, so the whole part about the noticed assault is gone from the board. Next up they simply threw ki blasts without anything special as the first time.

Vegeta on the other hand had time to charge his; by the looks of it I'd say a meek type Big Bang attack that was more effective then the others.

In short, the first Z fighter wave had individual signature moves they threw one by one allowing Cell time to raise his resistance against them as followed. The second he held off meager ki waves and lastly was Vegeta's stronger charged Big Bang-look-alike blast which was most likely done with more a surprise.

Edit: Goten, not to mention Vegeta's final attack was far more powerful than Piccolo's in SSj form.

Why can't we just leave it at HF being right.

Plus, you have to take into consideration, Gohan hadn't put too much focus into hsi attack at that point, so even if Cell was a bit distracted, Gohan wouldn't have been able to blow him away.

You have to take into account Vegeta's strength too. Piccolo, Yamcha, Tien and Krillin were nowhere near his strength. Vegeta could bat Imperfect Cell Form 2 around like a volleyball. Tien could only hold him in place with his Tri Beam which nearly killed him. With Cell focused upon Gohan's imminent death, and with Vegeta's high power level (and I do believe he's in SSJ at the time), it wouldn't be hard to see how Cell could've faltered.
