Anyone else buy the movie when it hit shelves? I brought it today, just finished watching it and god I must say that I was impressed. It not only left us wondering what else the brothers are going to get into...don't want to say anything else because I don't want to spoil anything in case anyone reads this.
Anyway if anyone else saw the movie and wanted to throw in their input do so, I'd like to know what you would've changed or something.

I won't buy it, so I sure hope that Adult Swim airs it eventually. I've been wanting to see that movie for quite a while.
Also, FMA is completely done with the end of this movie, as far as I know. So, we can't really find out what else happens. Which makes me kinda sad, 'cause FMA rocked.

Aww...shit. You just crushed my false hopes of them continuing the series. I mean theres a open door for them to continue the series...so many endless oprotunities and what not. If I were you I'd buy the movie, go to wal-mart, comes with a free dvd first five episodes of the series.

The manga splits off in a completely different storyline at a certain point. I'd say it has even more plots and mystery in it.

Call me weird but I don't care for magnas too much...though for FMA I'd give it a shot. Anyway I do think there are a few more movies in japan, hopefully they give us some input on what happened to the Elric brothers at the end of the movie...I'd hate it if they didn't.
The way it ended it left more questions for anyone who watched it lol. It's the type of movie you want to watch again and again but then again you don't unless you know for sure there's more answers coming.

Mangas are usually far better than the anime, but I'd have to say the FMA anime is quality as well. And like VJ said, the manga and the anime follow completely different storylines from about halfway through the series. For example, in the manga, the 'Wrath' and 'Sloth' characters of the anime just don't exist. Though there are different characters who go under those homunculi names.
I started watching the movie on Youtube, but I'd really like to buy the DVD of it when it's released.
