A Legend, a princess, and some twilight
#21
The only excuse I can see for that, 18, is I think this game is supposed to be fairly close in the time line to OoT. Most Zelda's are kinda similar, with the basis being on collecting items or some type of artifact. Difference being is that they'll shake up the story, or at least try and give you a reason.

Oh, and LttP rocks. I actually started playing OoT through again, though.

Your brother's exactly right. The story of OoT was actually the exact same as the story for all the other games. It wasn't the first in the Zelda series to present the story the way it did, not by a long shot.

Now that you're done with the whole "collect the bugs" thing, Twilight should start to look a lot more unique. The dungeons start to get crazy, the items get better and the bosses end up being a lot more fun to fight.

My main criticism with TP, the thing that stopped it being awesome for me, was the difficulty level. Too much rupees mean that minigames/sidequests for them are pointless (that's one thing I loved about Minish Cap - you actually had to do the kinstone stuff, because you did need the money for everything) and the bosses seem not to scale in difficulty. It was hard at the beginning, but later on it's only the puzzles that get in my way.

Sometime this summer I'm going to attempt a three-hearts-only replay. That would probably make it a lot more fun for me, and really force me to go nuts and not take a single hit. =D
