In order to lay down a rumor (or two) to rest, this is my actual reason for leaving:

My writing style is changing. I'm writing more essays and fiction sketches of real life, and less "focused, thematic" prose. As in, I'm dabbling in different aspects of writing, and finding it more pleasurable. I'm not really growing as a writer anymore on Chubbs. I feel restricted by the requirement to use one character constantly, and I need to free myself from this.

I'm not leaving because of a joke. I'm not at all upset about any joke whatsoever.

It's been a great two years and four months, but everyone leaves eventually, and it's my turn now.

Thanks all for the times, patience, and jolly attitudes towards some of my lamer jokes. You all still have my AIM; feel free to hit it up for a chat.

Your reasons for leaving are very valid ones. No, this is not an "I'm leaving too" statement, but I've been considering the same. Chubbs has given me a lot in terms of my writing ability, but I keep thinking I'll have to leave the nest eventually. Props to you for making the jump.
