A sigh escaped the lips of the jade skinned warrior as she rested in silence inside her home on the world of Dante. A mug of coffee sitting on the end table next to her, she slid down into the soft, magenta armchair, leveling her nasal passage with the course of the hot chocolate?s steam; the aroma of the bitter drink hovered into her nose, and her emotions flat lined as comfort took over her consciousness. Everything seemed right at that particular moment; no worries, no outstanding issues or fantastic threats to cower in fear from. The state she was currently in?it was truly paradise.
Further the woman sunk into the chair, her flowing orange locks cushioning her from the toughness of the chair?s skeleton that she would soon meet. It was unlikely, she thought, that she would ever be able to experience such a feeling ever again; a feeling of such unimpaired calmness as she was undergoing at that very instance. But of course, she knew that limits were unhindered by what people believed them to be?and so, she thought that perhaps, she could enjoy this paradise for the rest of eternity. A whistle fired up from the kitchen. Alas, to be interrupted at such a time was a sin in her eyes, but the price was not that horrible; as she lifted herself from her seat, and brushed her golden-orange locks behind her shoulders, she strode into the dining area, and then over to the room where she prepared her meals. The whistling that had so rudely interrupted her conscious slumber was coming from her teapot, which had been sitting on the stove for a length of time equal to perhaps thirty minutes or so. The Ader shook her head that her rest would be broken by such a meager happening, but she was aware that her tea was wondrous, and so was willing to sacrifice sleep for the chilling taste of a wonderful brownish-red colored liquid. Pouring the drink into an ice-filled mug, Zangya sipped some of the cold refreshment, and let out a breath of delight as the liquid drink slipped into her mouth and let her sense of taste seem to float to high heavens. The jade-skinned woman smiled and returned to the living area, and once again sunk into her luxurious recliner, which, albeit slightly ragged and torn, was the most comfortable thing she?d sat in since she?d lived with her parents. But that was long ago, and Zangya preferred not to remember anything about those two. A loud and whining buzz rang from the door, causing Zangya to jump in surprise, letting her mug slip from her emerald hands and spill all over her azure sweater. Cursing under her breath, she tossed the mug to the ground and it shattered into several pieces, which could be unpleasant if they were to be stepped upon. The young woman shook her head, suddenly removed from her calm state yet again, her happiness and delight replaced by anger and frustration that every time she seemed to be relaxed, some other obstacle would?like a deer when you?re driving on an Earth road?jump out in front of her, causing her to swerve from her path. Stomping over to the door, the assassin quickly slid the lock out and pulled open the door, only to see a slightly thin man outside. He looked like a man she?d seen before, perhaps on posters, or on the show last year?that?s right, he was the host, that ?Karl Jak? man. ?You there,? he said, taking the liberty to waltz right into her quarters without permission. ?Zangya, right? You are the one who butchered Isaac?? ?I am.? ?Yeah?you?re also the one that decided to ?make your own kitchen? in here, huh?? he asked her coldly. ?I am.? ?Well, Ms. Zangya, I?m going to have to order you to stop cooking in the rooms and come to the in-house restaurant from now on and take down your cooking equipment. I have no more time to deal with such a meager matter, so I must be on my way,? he said forcefully, and then turned and continued down the hallway towards his next destination. Zangya scoffed at him as he made his stride down the corridor. ?Twerp.? |
