So I'm working at the library right now and I had some indian kid come to the desk and ask me how to find a book. Every time he understood what I was saying, rather than nodding, like a normal person, he would shake his head left to right. This to me is the normal body language for disagreement, misunderstanding, or just plain ignorance... and it was really confusing me. I found myself tripping over words just because I thought the guy was completely misunderstanding everything I said... or subconsciously I just wasn't used to seeing that kind of response. It was just plain weird.
So I ask you, people of chubbs, have you had similar experiences with weird body languages or gestures that were just completely out of the norm, or is this indian kid just fucked up?

Could be a cultural norm to shake his head the other way.
Or he was confused about how American's do it and got it backwards.
I was in Switzerland once, and a guy in a truck drove past my buddy and I and asked us something in French. We both looked at him confused and shrugged our shoulders. Then he asked something in Italian, and we looked at each other and again shrugged. Then he says "Americans?" and we smile and nod. The guy laughs to himself and drives away.

I was at work, and had to serve a deaf woman food, so I had to ask her, "Fish or chicken?" and I got the sign language mixed up, and asked her if she wanted "Bird or snake?". She looked confused, and responded hesitantly with the sign language for bird. So I gave her chicken.

I shudder to think what she thought she was eating.

Not wierd body language, but pretty wierd anyways. And I apoligise in advance to anyone I might offend.
A few months ago, I was at the gas station buying breakfast, as is my norm. In line in front of me is what I thought was a, well, little black girl who was missing an arm. Turned out to be a one-armed black midget. For the rest of the day I looked back on my life and realised that I had it pretty good.

XD!
That was great.
I don't have any weird behavior stories. I'm sure I'm always the one exhibiting the weird behavior anyway.
