I'm at a quandary as to which I like more. I love Jack because that's the one I grew up watching, so he's kinda my biased love as the Joker, but Heath's making one hell of a compelling argument. Its a great thing I get my paycheck the day this comes out =]

I don't know how fair it really is to pit the two together, as the films are very different in tone and scope, but as far as encapsulating the sheer depth, unpredictability, and vibrance of the character of Joker, I think Heath has got it.
I mean, seriously. Having seen the first five minutes of the movie (do a bit of Internet searching for it; it's probably not entirely legal, so I won't post it here), I'm blown away. There aren't that many lines in it. Heath is wearing a mask, so you don't see any facial expressions. It's just the atmosphere of Joker. Maybe it's the cinematography, maybe it's the scenery, but there is certainly a very large part of it that can be attributed to Heath.
Damned tragedy that he died.

I am the Joker. I play Jack Napier best. =]
But on topic: I am super-excited for this movie. I was inspired, first of all, to play the Joker by the cartoon. I am working my character to form something of a mixture between Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger, which I think would make the true best Joker. But, as said before, they are completely different. I am so excited for this movie, it's not even funny. Pun totally not intended.
