About my quest?

If your doing a quest can you change the set outcome with approval from the staff. It says, ?You're asked to break into the gang's hideout and try to get back the item in whatever way you can.? Can I change it so that I destroy the artifact instead?

O_o but then why bother? You wouldn't get paid if you brought back a broken artifact.
