Roleplay Length

I don't know if it's come up before, but what would be considered the perfect length for a roleplay? I usually try to stay between 400 and 600 words, so I don't drag on and lose attention. Anyone else?

me...I gun for about 600 - 1,000 words...sometimes a LOT more...just depends on how much inspiration I'm pulling out...though sometimes I just post, then keep writing so I have more for later.

Depends on my preferences at the time. Sometimes I think a short roleplay is best left alone, at around 500 words. Most of my 'serious' stuff tends to be 800-1200 words, though.

It really depends. For me, I tend to push out around 700 words. That seems to be the perfect length, considering my style. However, sometimes I get a complete picture in my mind, and I push out 2000 words like nothing. It's rare, but it happens.

I used to try to do 1200-1500 word roleplays. >.>

I'd still like to, but I can't seem to get into the groove for it. I don't think I can force a thousand word roleplay, so I like to believe that most that have more than that are good.

I just write as much as I have an idea to write in a single post. I don`t follow any specific length.

So far, the results are about what I expected. The reason I thought of this was because of my past roleplay history. Back then, the average length was about 300 words, so that's what I'm used to doing. It's hard for me to do more, and it kinda makes me feel bad. So I try for more. I know I need more work, but I hope to keep improving. ^_^
