I actually liked Beowulf, though you have to accept that in ways it was intended to be cheesy. Its part of delivering on how stories were actually told during that time, very embelleshing and flashy. Essentially they tried to convey "Men are full of hubris and egotistical but strong and courageous/stupid warriors; women are patient and wise, supporting their men to the end in hopes that they learn".

First off, having a thread titled "The Like/Hate Thread" on this board, and a closed one titled "The Like and Hate Threads" (or similar) on the KH.
