The Like/Hate Thread
I love returning to drawing after about 5 years. When I left school I decided that I was going to quit art altogether and focus myself on becoming a writer (for dumb reasons, though I don't regret the decision for some less dumb reasons). Since then I pretty much haven't drawn a thing. But I've matured since then and realised that having lots of hobbies is way more fun, and the past year or so I've been like "at some point I'm gonna go back to art and continue getting better". Yesterday (due to a bunch of cumulative stuff which was like a giant INDICATOR OF FATE) I decided to pick up the pad again.

And god am I enjoying it. Since I'm way better at educating myself than I was back then, I've pretty much learned more in a day and made more improvements than I did in a year back as a teenager.

I like that I'll be seeing snow for the first time in June when I go over to New Zealand.

I hate that Bra makes that seem like a bad thing.

My professor for two classes this semester is from the UK...he speaks low and drinks coffee each class. Today I think I made a good impression since I knew a few things about Freud and the whole 'id/ego/super-ego' type shit. I hope he can lpick up the pace regarding the class, he talks for a while at a time then looks around for people to speak.

I like this chick making convo with me today, made me pretty happy and now I know she's pretty cool(she came off as a witch last week).

He gets snow on steroids. Sure its fun for the first few times, but It starts and never ends up there. I used to get Super Sno-lite.

I'm actually not sure what I'm supposed to be more offended by. There's so very much.

My favorite part was when they told you where you can go to get your own copy.

I almost posted that here. I'm utterly flabbergasted that they put it on the news. I'm so very, very sorry for you Americans.

I find it kinda funny that that message came from two toys owned by the same woman.

I mean, just... damn. Damn.

Even if it was real, that's not exactly a 'turrurist' message. How does saying Islam is a great place = OMG OSAMAPLOT?

I find it hard to believe that it's a coincidence.

Does honesty earn respect or inspire revenge? Is it smarter to attack the strong or annihilate the weak?

I like finding a copy of "The Bouncer" at a local Gamestop. And playing it.

EDIT: Also, regarding the supposed terrorist message, does the baby voice saying it creep anyone else the hell out? <.<

Damn, they got to that shit quick.

Always look under your bed, ISLAM might be there!

Lady is probably setting her alarm clock every hour of the night so she can check on that, followed by ten hail marys, the lord's prayer, a vial of holy water, some garlic, and a wooden stake with a cross wrapped around it sitting on her nightstand.

I dislike religion.

I like learning things on my own. My old church like YEARS ago used to preach how going to church makes you a better person. And I hate how my aunt always makes connections between good luck/opportunity with the 'lord'.

God didn't just get me the job woman! I worked my ass off in college for two years!

Fighting to the bitter end is an advantage when your opponent does not wish to perish.

Eh, not really planning to go down that road, but...

I listened to the news video after hearing the doll say those things (of course, after being told that THAT is what the doll was indeed saying, unmistakably, of course) and it reminded me of this fantastic lecture I just posted above this paragraph. Check it out, the entire thing is good and on point.

I like this new show on channel 4, 'boys and girls alone'. Basically there's ten boys and ten girls aged between 8-12 years old, given free rein of a couple of houses in Cornwall, with no adult supervision (well there are all the people behind the scenes, plus their parents are only a few houses away, watching them). The boys and girls are seperated. The boys spent the first few days, water fighting, eating uncooked pasta, and crying about missing their mummies. The girls managed to cook for themselves, but they all fought with each other, the older girls in particular seemed to take great pleasure in intimidating and bullying the younger ones. It was pretty interesting, I thought so atleast.
