Always look under your bed, ISLAM might be there!
Lady is probably setting her alarm clock every hour of the night so she can check on that, followed by ten hail marys, the lord's prayer, a vial of holy water, some garlic, and a wooden stake with a cross wrapped around it sitting on her nightstand.
What exactly do you not like this story for? If it's for generalizing and viewing a set of beliefs in an overly negative light, then those statements confuse me.

Wow. I'm surprised you guys are getting up in arms about the people getting up in arms about it. Most people I know don't want any form of religion in their lives. I can say I'd be a bit irked if my game told me 'Islam is the Light', and I'm religious.

It actually does kinda sound like that's what it's saying.

No, Sophia, I'm not trying to pick on people of faith. There is a reason that I explicitly said in the following post when someone else mentioned an actual religious comment that I wasn't wanting to go down that road.
No, what I was getting at was the typical protection myths for vampires. I thought it was a fairly logical progression from my comparison in her paranoia and the "terrorists" being our version of the boogeyman (CHECK UNDER YOUR BED).
So in other words, yeah, my problem is that I think the woman is (like most of the other people in this thread) just looking for another thing to check the closets for every night before tucking her kids in, turning on their nightlights, and covering all the mirrors lest Bloody Mary come through.

As if Islam were the same as Muslim extremism. Pretty sure it's more about the fact that it's Muslim, not religious in general. I think that's why people are up in arms about the people up in arms.

Indeed. I don't remember who said it, but considering the extremist Muslim terrorists as the standard for Islam is like considering the KKK as the standard for Christianity.
It is flawed, and doesn't actually reflect what the faith - either faith - is about.

The muslim religion is about peace. Yet they have the Jihad...
The muslim extremists have twisted the Jihad for just using it as a Casus Belli to goto war with anyone they hate.

I actually assumed was because of a non-religious toy "saying" anything about religion. I would have been just as put off if the baby had said "love jesus plz."
Making a big deal about the Islamic connection is nothing more than news sites trying to get more hits. I would rate the average internet viewer as equally stupid and impressionable as the kids that were playing with those toys.

I'd rate the average person in general as about that stupid.

I thought so, but as its such a touchy subject, I just wanted to make it blatantly clear what I meant.
I've gotten PMs before from people on this board regarding things I've said in that direction. I once said something about "Well, the best you can do is hold out hope that something, be it fate, karma, or deity, helps you through it" and got a PM right after that letting me know what a hypocrite I am given that I'm not religious and said that.
Was not too pleased.

I like how I got bored in the past 5 minutes and took what I learned in programming today and made a quick little snippet. You enter the word "Chubbs" into the program and it prints: Vad & Trixie Forever. xD
Code: def main():
variableA = raw_input('Enter your cause:')
print
Chubbs = 0
if variableA == Chubbs: then
print "Vad & Trixie Forever"
main()

"Anyway, I keep picturing all these little kids playing some game in this big field of rye and all. Thousands of little kids, and nobody's around - nobody big, I mean - except me. And I'm standing on the edge of some crazy cliff. What I have to do, I have to catch everybody if they start to go over the cliff - I mean if they're running and they don't look where they're going I have to come out from somewhere and catch them. That's all I do all day. I'd just be the catcher in the rye and all. I know it's crazy, but that's the only thing I'd really like to be."
When Mark Chapman was standing trial for John Lennon's murder, he was asked if he had anything to say, and this was his reply. Quoted from the book 'The catcher and the rye'. A book that he was obsessed with.
Talking about obsessions, the last two days I've been pretty much obsessed with everything about John Lennon's murder.

I hate that Belle's user title changed. Without fail, I would always laugh at "Shriveled Member."
EDIT: I just snorted at it then when I read it back to myself.
