I also hate how I was gonna get Resident evil 5 over Amazon the other day, checked the price ect, cost £30, but forgot to at the last second. Now I've just went to pre-order it, and it's £42 and only being sold second hand. Which I guess means they've sold out. Fuuuuck.

Ahahaha...I really had forgotten how stupid high schoolers can be. I also have a new appreciation for the writers on this site.

Okay, so here's the story: I have a friend who's an English teacher. She got really sick, so she asked around for a sub; someone who could step in for her for as long as needed. Nobody was available, so she ended up asking me. It's a small private school, so they can let in just about everyone. <.< Anyway, after meeting with the principal and getting the nod from him, I stepped in for a few days this week. On the first day, I assigned a small essay--nothing big, just 500 words comparing Romeo and Juliet to Socrates' "Ladder of Love," which they had learned about previously. I told them that they could turn in a hard copy when it was due, or if there were any problems, email me with the Word document attached. One kid had such problems, and emailed me.

He ended up sending me three emails. The first said "Here's my essay," but didn't have an attachment. I sent him an email telling him so, but I got nothing back. It was due the next day, and when I got nothing from him, I gave him a zero. The second email he sent me was "What the hell? Why did I get a zero?" I replied last night, and I got an email this morning that literally said this:

"oshit.

i accidently emailed the essay to myself.

here it is."

I ended up giving him an F anyway because he got Romeo and Juliet confused with...a bastardized combination of Julius Caesar and Hamlet, I guess. I have no idea what the hell he was writing about.

Haha, Sophia. I'm kinda surprised at his ballsyness to send his teach emails with profanity too. I mean, I can see if you are on very familiar terms and run into each other outside school, but (and I know some teachers don't care at all about this) I've also seen some teachers anally rape kids for dropping books in a hallway and saying "crap!" Though there's a lot of hypocrisy, Erin and I would get in trouble for standing a foot away from each other and then giving a hug before moving on to class (public indecency, zomg!) but we would be four feet from a couple in a full out makeout session that didn't get a second glance.

EDIT: Oh, and how come you only communicated with the kid through emails? You mentioned hard copy up top, so I assumed this wasn't an internet class.

I kind of just assumed that he didn't do it. =x If he had approached me during class, I would have talked to him about it.

I don't know. I gave him a shot even though it was past the due date, but my good graces can only go so far. I can't look past it when he made it obvious to me in his paper that he hadn't been listening to a word the teacher has been saying. -_-

Poor guy, and poor shark. I'm surprised he didn't run out of oxygen being down there two hours, especially with the extra oxygen he'd consume from the elevated breathing and adrenaline rush of fighting a fucking shark.
