Just got this game, played it for about an hour. Pretty good so far, feel really drawn into the story. I decided to play normal differculty, because I'd heard in a review it was supposed to be pretty easy compared to Resident Evil 4, I've already died TWICE...
Finding it hard to juggle ammo through both me and the co-op. She's like, "I'm out of ammo", when there's 10 crazy, African, zombies closing in on us. Kinda annoying.
Anybody else got it? Thoughts, opinions, ect:

So wait... I heard the game had to get redone in the beginning to add more white people because there was an outcry of racism over the majority of the zombies being black, and the god damn game takes place in Africa???

I didn't hear about the adding white people, but I do remember there being some kind of opinion that the game had racial/political undertones (slay the civil-warrin' heathens!) because it was set in Africa.
More of the same shit. If a kid is that stupid that they walk away from a game with a hardon for blowing away West Africans with a 12 guage, then they shouldn't be playing any game ever.
"It wasted no time in capitalizing upon the long history of blatant depictions of Africans as savages and helpless imbeciles"
I can understand where he's coming from, as I kind of did feel this way myself upon watching the trailer. But it's Resident Evil, that's the point of the fucking franchise, it would be stupid to just ignore that this is how all the rest of the games have been just to make some point.
If this was say, Dead Rising, set in an "urban mall" or something, then I could totally back a statement like this. But it's not, it's fucking Africa, Africans live in Africa (fyi), and people need to grow up.

And I could totally see my family getting outraged if they ever witnessed me playing this game. This whole underdog, paranoid mentality is just so retarded.
It's not really baseless, especially with all the shit that's happening in Africa right now. This is something like how people were in an uproar about Marvel killing off Captain America while we were blowing up Iraqis. Political climate dictates too much, imo. But wow, it's a video game. If you start criticizing a comic book or a video game, pretty much for anything, then you officially have too much free time.

The game IS really easy. I've died a lot of times just because I don't know what to do. I'm confident if I played through again on normal (which I'm on now), I wouldn't die at all.
Anyway, it's also a fantastic game. It's not nearly as scary as I like, but the co-op nature is pretty amazing. I'm playing with my buddy who's in Jacksonville right now, then I'll probably play with Tempo. I would play this game several times over just to try out new partners to play with

I was wondering why half of the Africans look albino.

Microsoft dude is coming tomorrow to take my 360 for fixing. Until then, I watch this game with puppy dog eyes. I played the demo obsessively.

I can agree with both sides of Jack's post. And yeah, the days of politics dictating "Help Superman slap a Jap!" are over. Or should be.
But seriously, ugh. The game is in freakin Africa, the zombies are AFRICAN. Portraying Africans as weak, savage, helpless individuals? Hello, zombie apocalypse here, that shit could go down in the middle of Britain (28 Days Later?) and the people would still be portrayed in the same manner (and were). So for someone to take offense as if there isn't major past precedent involving many other races is someone seeking media attention.

The criticism still stands, but yeah, it's old news.

These chainsaw wielding baddies have an insanely large amount of health. 5 incenary grenades, 1 hand grenade, 7 shotgun shells, 5 uppercuts later, and the motherfucker was still chasing me down. I had no ammo left, luckily I managed to just run past him and the other zombies, and move onto the next level.

Complaining about the inventory system, it's a survival horror you need to have that to up the tension. Besides, most people wouldn't be able to carry more than what you can fit into your inventory.

Finished it a few days ago. Overall a pretty enjoyable game. Looks like they expect you to play through the story about 10 times if you want to unlock all the goodies. I think I'll pass, I definately wanna play again online on a harder differculty, maybe as Sheva, though.

Sweet game. Beat it on easy or whatever the easiest difficulty is with a friend. Look forward to playing with Unlimited Ammo if my friend buys the game instead of renting it. Magnum + unlimited ammo = fun according to my calculations.

Really like the game.
Hate the final fight. Ruined my entire opinion of the series.

The fact that it was a cliche ending in a volcano where after he was defeated he rose out of of the lava to nearly kill the heroes.
It's been done a thousand times before, and is a very bad ending for a villain like Wesker.
