I'm tempted to start on some sort of course in the English language, because this seems like the usual respond I get.

Basically I missed MMO-gameplay after I quit WoW and out of all the MMos currently out, WoW is the only one I find slightly playable. I could not take the fact that I wouldn't have any MMOs to play until AION came out, so I went back to WoW while waiting for the release.

Waff and I are trying this out again. I'm trying out a ranger and there's this thing called "jumpshotting" apparently that makes you incredibly awesome that I'm trying to master. Not quite level 10ish yet, though. I don't really know how to explain it so look up "aion jumpshot" or something like that on youtube. Something about jumping at a certain point makes your skills cast faster or I have no idea?

Anyways, come play this with us! Check out how awesome the armor looks in this game:

I'd be careful about hanging your hat on something that will absolutely be fixed at some point.

EDIT: Unless, of course, my assumption is completely wrong and that's actually intended.

"The jump-cancel of skill motion was intentionally implemented."

Basically your jump shortens some skill animations.

It's been changed in the Korean version already though, not sure of it's status in US/EU.

Right, and it makes sense to use jumping to cancel a skill. Emily made it sound like you could jump to cast a skill faster, which makes no sense at all.

The latter is what I'm commenting on.

I think its similar to the concept of where games have a compensation for latency which will allow a cast to finish despite moving just before the cast happens, to prevent network lag from screwing someone repeatedly whenever they are trying to cast and move around in quick bursts. Some mods for WoW were made to identify where that line would be in your actual cast bar so that you could use "stopcast" macros (which are now built into the spells themselves) to more closely bridge the gap in lag for casting the spells.

It sounds as if you are cutting the actual cast time and essentially exploiting, but (in my understanding, I could be wrong here) what actually happens is that you are spending the proper amount of time casting, its just that it helps compensate for lag through ping and so even though it looks like you are cutting pieces off the cast bar on your end, you are just cutting parts of the lag between casts out of it.

I really hope you're right, Ashe. It would be... well, lame if it were just exploiting.

FYI, they are having a reactivation celebration right now, for an entire week. So you can log onto Aion right now for free if you ever purchased the game.

Also, if you are above level 15, you can get free items that boost XP or really good potions to help you level.
