I think my hard drive may have committed seppuku. I turn on my computer, it says no boot device is available and there is an ominous clicking noise that ends with the whir of a hardrive calming down. I can boot from an Ubuntu live-CD, but I cant find my hard drive when in it. I also can't find my external hard-drive which is not cool either. If both of them died at the same time I swear to jeebus I will hang myself with a USB cable.
edit: Aha. I wrote hard drive in three different ways in that. Leaving it unchanged for posterity.
When in doubt: It was sarcasm.

Haha, another "realistic" Half Life 2 video. Pretty cool, though they make it feel laggy. Even have a part where they put a LOADING bar in and use the HUD and everything. I liked it.

Hate: I'm flunking Math. What more, I have two more math classes after it if I do happen to pass. I've never felt so...stuck. Even when I was failing high school abroad I didn't feel anything like this. If I can't somehow stop my cold streak with Algebra it's going to keep me from pursuing any further education, as stupid as that sounds. I'm getting tutoring now and I've submitted an IEP so I can take my time on the fucking quizzes each week.
/sigh

The guy handling the camera is hopeless. Pick the damn thing up so we can see what's happening! And run, don't walk! This is an FPS, walking only tends to happen when you're creeping up on a guy.
Other than that, though. Really well done. The headcrab zombie was epic.

I entirely agree with the critiques. I just don't want someone to be so focused on said camera filming that they miss what's actually going on as they look for their back button.

Yeah it's kinda hard to do two things at once as is. If he'd have run, the filming would've gone to shit.
Not bad for an amateur thing.

Does honesty earn respect or inspire revenge? Is it smarter to attack the strong or annihilate the weak?

While that's funny and all, that dude could have seriously drowned.
And yeah, one of the guys mentions that. But only WAY AFTER the dude's all the way out there.

Feeling pretty shitty about that.

Hate: I don't know how - and neither does my bank - but someone got my debit information and cleaned out all of my bank accounts. I have $0.34 left and bills due tomorrow -- they would normally be taken out electronically.
Apparently I'm one of thousands who've been ripped off, and yet the bank still has no idea how.
They're at least working with me to defer my loan payments and stuff, but the insurance company isn't being very helpful.
I've had so many things go wrong this week already, that this almost doesn't even register. It's like my life doesn't feel real right now. It's got to be a reality show or something.
So, yeah. And before you ask, no, I never leave my cards lying around anywhere, and I've destroyed any paperwork with those details.

You should probably switch banks after this.

Yeah. My house has a designated shredder for EVERYTHING pertaining to personal information. Inspired by my mother getting her identity stolen years back.

...Why? Banks all over Manitoba are being scammed.
I don't follow.
