As do I. Good times.
I liked the song before Bayonetta. Their "Infinite Climax Remix" didn't make it any worse. ![]() "It's on my brain, driving me insane. It's on my mind, all of the time, and if it left... I would be fine."

Like: Spiderman 4 was scrapped today, and the plan is to do a complete reboot with an entire new cast and director sometime in 2012. Now while some won't feel that this is a good thing, consider what they WANTED to do with 4. The plan was to have the Vulture in it, and even to get Anne Hathaway (who they later scrapped for being too expensive) to play Felicia Hardy, except instead of the Black Cat, she was going to become "the Vulturess" and be a villianess.
Follow that off the common crowd reception of SM3 and you'll see how that was going to go, especially when they had already set up 5 and 6 to be a two part movie filmed in the same style as the last two Matrix or the three LotR movies. They scrapped this because they themselves weren't happy with the story and kept having to trash the stories being offered. I'd like to see what the new version will be, although rebooting a barely 8 year old franchise is a bit odd. http://www.deadline.com/hollywood/urgent...t-planned/ EDIT: Also keeping in mind that Raimi's original plan for 3 was to not have Venom at all (which is what everyone agrees destroyed that film) and focus on a consistent storyline and have the fourth movie be about Venom. So this seems like they are trying to fuck with it again and he's ducking out, to me.

I'm sorry, to be fair, I didn't actually mean to list that as Like. I have very mixed opinions, both positive and negative, about it.

I would rather them just not do anything at all. A "complete reboot" is not the way to go, imo.

Sophia Wrote:I would rather them just not do anything at all. A "complete reboot" is not the way to go, imo. I agree, or at least not anytime soon. What worries me is this... The REASON that Spidey 3 was not well received is because Sony insisted that Venom be placed into it, regardless of his original plan (which coincidently was Vulture even then). They felt that Venom would be better accepted, so despite how successful the first two were when Raimi was given the freedom to do his own thing, they jumped into the middle of 3 and guess what? Story got convoluted and didn't work, too many characters. So now he is dropping because he can't make the one year deadline for a movie that doesn't even have a set script much less any filming on it, so they want to just bump the year up by one more and reboot the series to "follow their own vision" more? Remember that 3 was what happened when they started pushing their own intentions in, now consider that he's leaving because they are doing the exact same thing and now they want to have full control over the reboot series. Its akin to if they decide to go to Nolan and absolutely insist that the third Batman movie involve Joker again, regardless of reasoning and problems, as well as fit in Riddler and Catwoman at the same time, with maybe some Robin. Other than that, "feel free to do what you want". It would be terrible (remember Batman Forever as opposed to the first two?) Its also annoying that their vision involves them once against making a movie entirely about the origin and High School days (since every movie right now is basically issue one of their comic, get to see the origin on the big screen deal, some good, some terrible). At first I felt that "Oh, they realized they couldn't force a story in that time so they canceled and moved on", but then I realized that... they just let the director and cast go, and still intend to push a movie out as quickly as fucking possible. Its a bit upsetting and reeks of trying to just cash in as much as possible on the comic craze right now, as if they are terrified that if they let it linger for too long, Marvel will get the movie rights back for their new company and Sony won't have full control.

Great-Uncle died yesterday. Don't even know if I'll be able to go to the funeral. Sigh sigh freaking sigh. I'll just go to the grave site this summer.
Hate having a story in my head but when I type it out it just looks all kinds of fucked up.
Sorry to hear that Othello.
EDIT: Nevermind, I read something badly worded.

Thanks Ashe.
Hate that I may be among the many folks who will be seeing their Duke Energy bill double...hope it won't happen. Already going to switch out Time Warner Cable's internet service for AT&T's...and I don't think I'm going to do cable at all. After talking to this girl I realize I watch much of my stuff online, I can do without Adult Swim which is pretty much the only thing I watch besides the news.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as Ashe about the Spidey movie. I mean, a few of the roles were very well cast and it's sad to see them go, even though they are obviously getting a little too old for the part. I think trying to continue after the third one would have been hard, especially since it was so highly anticipated and a lot of people were disappointed. Me and Tim stayed up a few nights for hours trying to predict the movie, and then when I finally saw it, I was like, ...
Rebooting so soon may not be a good thing, though, especially if it was Sony who fucked up the last movie and they're the ones running the show for the new one. I think they should wait, and they definitely shouldn't rush anything. [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I say scrap the entire Spiderman series and remake them. Why do we have to deal with an emo cutting Peter Parker after the very first movie? What happened to Spidey the cartoon/comic guy who would make tons of jokes (some of them funny) while beating the hell out of villains. Yeah it's unrealistic but it was made the series enjoyable. Right now the Spiderman series for me is just some dude who's emo because he has superpowers.
