A couple things if you're playing as Mord. Armor and Magic Resist are applied even when taking damage from your armor, so he gets a lot more from stacking those than most "tanks" (though Mord isn't really a tank, but I build him like one); to that end rank E and W as quickly as possibly. I take one rank of Q at level 3, then ignore it until everything else is maxed. Randuin's Omen is basically made for Mordekaiser, giving armor, HP regen, cooldown, and some CC in one item. Couldn't ask for more.

I'm still playing around with builds, but I run Doran's Shield -> Boots (gets switched up depending on the team, but usually Mercs or Sorcs) -> Randuin's -> Force of Nature. And then if the game is still going once I have all that (likely, given how well Mord farms) I either pick up something with damage, like a Bloodthirster or a Sunfire (Sunfire is pretty situational, though).

Also, a lot of people misuse his ult for healing, or trying to take down someone with a lot of HP (since it does %HP damage) which is completely the wrong thing to do. The best part of his ult, easily, is getting a ghost. His damage output doubles, at a minimum. If you see someone about to drop, stop whatever you're doing and do ult them. The ghost will win most 1v1 fights.

I've been a fan of Mord ever since I bought him on a complete whim. He's just an absolute beast. Easily the most capable in handling a 2v1 and, with the possible exception of Ryze using his ult, can clear a minion wave faster than anyone else.

I actually set up a rune-page just for him so that, when I buy Doran's shield, I start the game with about 40 MR and Armor and just under 800 HP.

Yeah, we could beat through just about anything thrown at us. I'm only good for support so I'd stop em, hit em, pop my ult when it was up to drain em, and he'd rail road through em.

Vlad is awesome. In my mind, he's actually very similar to Mordekaiser. A pretty tough caster, though he's more caster while Morde is more tough.

Another champ that Randuin's is just crazy for.

I'm probably going to buy the new champ immediately... well... the next few champs immediately. The only one that's already out that I might buy is Olaf, but I'm on the rocks.

Olaf needs intense farm, except if you jungle. But if you jungle with him you're basically dancing on the edge of death 24/7.

That's not entirely removed from playing Vlad, though. Actually maxing his DPS potential kicks his ass.

I dunno if anyone saw the test realm patch notes, but one of the things they're currently running is a toned-down Wiggle's Lantern. They dropped the damage by 10 on it, removed the longsword and cut the recipe cost from 150 to 75. That's a 490 gold price-drop. Very awesome. I hope it makes it to live.

If your problem if losing that ult-war (and that is a prob with some team comps) then just guardian up and watch the good times roll.

Today you learn: When Annie casts E, her armor buff, counts as a stack towards her stun. When she has stun up already, it still counts as a stack, but doesn't get rid of the stun. It counts towards the next stun, so if you cast it 4 times while her stun is up, she will have a stun plus 4 invisible stacks. Now when she Tibbers it will stun everyone and her stun will be back up immediately for her next spell. In other words, in a second or two.

Never tried this, but apparently it works.

The posts I saw talking about it were from last week. Like I said, never tried it.

I don't really see the problem with it, to be honest. The shield has over 20 seconds of CD, meaning that you're waiting over 100 seconds just to lock up a double stun that may not even work.
