Seriously though it is quite odd Whompt is endorsing the strategy that failed for me last game. None of the mafia fell for the bait then, why would they now? You already know that Whompt, right?

Do what you guys want to do. I'm trying to win a game here. Every no lynch puts the mafia in a better position than if we lynch an innocent. You wanna roll over and die, then do so by all means. I can't stop you. Atleast this way, I have the option of controlling my destiny.
Also, I don't really think Rose is mafia. I have no clues who is or not. I through out his name because I knew it'd provoke discussion which could create clues as to who might be.

Even though I was mafia last game, the idea that we should "No-lynch" early is solid. As Rem said, lynching early is more likely to put the mafia in a better position by decreasing the ratio of mafia:non-mafia. The odds for a lynch to succeed early is 1/4. The first day should be used mostly to gather info and acknowledge suspicions. Then, once the first killing starts, we'll be in a more informed position to make accusations and lynch the correct people.
Unless Whompt is the Doc again and completely destroys any chance the Mafia had to win.

Yeah we only have a 1 in 4 chance of getting a mafia. The absolute best odds we'll ever have of guessing right will be 1 in 2, which really isn't that much better. I agree about getting information, but if there's not risk of death, a smart mafioso or even townsperson will just keep his or her mouth shut to reduce their viability as a target. We have to stir the pot to make people talk. I don't care if we don't lynch anyone. I just don't want anyone to think they're safe. A person who thinks themselves safe is less likely to make a mistake we can exploit.

As far as I'm concerned, you're all fucking suspicious. For all I know, by 'fundamentally changing the mechanics of the game' Chris meant that everyone except me is mafia. Can you PROVE I'm incorrect??

The threads're open 24 hours regardless, if I'm not mistaken that means people can still retract their vote up to that point. I figured it was to avoid people being unable to defend themselves 'cause they're not online.

I think it's open until we hit the majority vote which ends the phase of the game we're in, which is why I retracted my last vote.
Anyways, I don't know who the mafia members are yet. I wish I knew cause then we could string 'em up!
