Even the counters like Kog'maw and Bloodrazors don't do shit, because both of their % of health effects (and Deathfiregrasp for casters) are negated by MR, so those beefy tanks, as long as they can survive the autoattacks of sheer health, can get enough MR to ignore your other methods. So there isn't really much of a counter.

What are you talking about? She does Magic Damage, which has the EXACT same problem as Kog.

Void Staff for Kog and you're fine.

Her dmg is in larger chunks though rather than spread over time, so she still is good to walk in and just drop someone regardless of gear.

Not really. Gear is still 100% relative. Calling Poppy the only Anti-Tank is... not a good call. And saying she doesn't care about MR is an even worse one.

AP Poppy is the one that does the serious burst, and she'll suffer the EXACT same problems as any other assassin trying to drop a tank. AD Poppy isn't going to have the burst you're talking about and, once she's on cooldown, won't have much damage to put out without being mitigated even harder by tank builds.

As an assassin, I think Poppy is serious business. As an anti-tank, she suffers the exact same problems as everyone else.

Your overarching points are still 100% accurate, though. When tanks can build against the only anti-tank measures (%-based magic damage) they stop being anti-tank measures.

I do feel that Poppy and Kog are both very strong against tanks, barring the MR problem. I feel that Poppy has a much better early game against tanks where Kog has a much better late game, and that's about where their similarities end because one is about positioning and volleys while the other is about hit and run tactics in melee.

I feel Poppy can usually down a tank in about the same amount of time it'd take her to focus any other target, but that doesn't in any way mean she can remove them from the equation, especially when they get geared as they can just ignore her like they do everyone else. So she (and Kog) are A "solution" to tanky characters, but ultimately they are still going to build MR and ignore you, despite those characters (and Bloodrazor wearing champs) being about as good as it gets in terms of getting through that.

Well, Morello is teasing with an anti-tank item that deals with mitigation (and thusly can replace Bloodrazors when they get armor/mresist), so I'm waiting for that with "baited breath".

That said, I think they are reverse trolling here. I do think they'll release him as a champ. Working model, full set of abilities, voiceovers and sound effects, etc. The abilities were cranked up for the video to make a "Chuck Norris" joke that wasn't even funny, but I think they've put too much work into him to JUST be an April Fool's joke, despite that they are having a good time using him for jokes in addition.

That said, yeah, there could be a new map release during that time period instead. Entirely possible.

EDIT: Anyway, the video said his passive was the blindness deal and immune to Blinding Dart and other har har, but they've already said his passive was "Flurry: After Lee Sin uses an ability, his next 2 basic attacks gain 50% Attack Speed and return 10 energy each." Also, all the abilities have been listed with fairly balanced looking stats. Imo, real Spotlight coming in a day or so.
