And then Alistar was made of 50% more winning.

I'm not too familiar with alistair, but your MR seems low, and if Banshee's is your sixth, that's probably way too late.

I hear Alistar can jungle fairly well now. I want to try this. Which will involve banning Trygelan.

You're NEVER going to get that much gold.
http://leaguecraft.com/builder/Alistar/?...1&level=18 A less exaggerated version of what you were going for, basically. Only ~85 AP, but ~120 in both MR and Armor and 33% CDR. Additionally plenty of mana and MP5, some health, and an MR debuff aura for your team. Included masteries and runes, which cover some of the holes left by going with a cheaper build. For build order I would probably start Sapphire Crystal, finish Catalyst, boots 1, Chalice, boots 2, Chain Vest, Abyssal, Glacial Shroud. If the game is still going on at that point get Frozen Heart and Banshee's. ![]() "It's on my brain, driving me insane. It's on my mind, all of the time, and if it left... I would be fine."

Kaden Wrote:You're NEVER going to get that much gold. Yeah, but I usually stagger the build in most fights, or just pick the most "pertinent" and build that up. It's not a very solid build order, tbh. Most of these items are still pretty useful for Ali without completion and are pretty well tiered so you can kinda "spread the love" as it where. I like your build too though, it makes the whole "going cheap but effective" thing happen. [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Even with the new passive, Alistar isn't really a great farmer because of his high mana costs and long cooldowns. His heal, ironically, becomes his best farming tool. Ali also probably won't be getting many of the kills, so champions like him you have to plan your build on assist gold and minimal farm.

I second this, but he HAS gotten a lot lot better at farming, but I get most of my money from assists. I use his heal to trigger his trample and then I can cut through a bunch of minions, maybe pulverize if the lane is empty. [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Janna is amazing. I think this is the best I've ever done in a fight. 8/5/22 in a 4 v 5. Piper as Trist stole the show with a 22/4/12 (I think) but I still really liked how Janna works. She can really change the tide of a battle, even if she's not killing people.

Janna's probably the best support champion in the game.

The problem with Janna (and any support, really) is that you're supporting your team. If you go into a pug and your teammates/carries are shit, then there's really not much you can do.

Yeah, I find myself doing best in support roles it seems. I like Alistar and Janna, and I'm just trying to figure out who I'm really doing better with. Neither of them really get a ton of kills but they make the difference in fights, so I'm on the fence about who I should "stick" with. [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

The great thing about Janna is that she really doesn't need gear to effectively support her team. Sure, AP will get you more damage on your tornado and nuke, but it doesn't make her knock people up any higher or increase the slow on her nuke. You can grab a couple Hearts of Gold, Lucky Picks, or Philosopher Stones to generate some income while you float around helping people snag kills.
Alistar can't really do the same thing. I mean, he can, but its a lot harder to walk around with two philo stones and a HoG and still be able to help without getting rocked. ![]() "It's on my brain, driving me insane. It's on my mind, all of the time, and if it left... I would be fine."

Alistar is designed to forcibly disrupt an enemy team. A 6 second ult isn't a replacement for actual gear and you know it.

Yo, so there was this dude wondering how to build for Kog'Maw the other day and I told him that I wasn't really an expert, but it seemed like Attack Speed, AP and like, a Madred's Razor would be best because he does percentile damage? That wasn't SHIT advice was it? I'm just legit interested now
