Hate: The final is absolutely nothing like the study guide the professor provided. He said there would be 10 true/false, 10 multi choice, 2 SQL essays, and 2 general essays. There are instead 19 multi choice, 9 essay (split up between SQL and general), and 3 short answer.

He said the nutshell was 'basical SQL statements (select, insert, update, delete)', 'database design', 'normalization through third form', and 'referential integrity.' 2 of 31 questions pertained to the four types of SQL statements listed there; 9 of 31 related to the more complicated SQL statements (pertaining to constraint specification, table manipulation, etc). There were no questions pertaining to referential integrity, except indirectly.

A full fucking three questions concerned the introductory chapter, in which a lot of guffawing is made about why relational databases are far better than these other sorts of databases. I read it thirteen weeks ago, and was given no indication I would ever need that information again. I mean really, who tests on a fucking introductory chapter (read, an introductory chapter that isn't foundational for the course).

I went back through and estimated my score. I've got myself at a 72%. It's still (still, still) an A. So *like*. But still, major thundercunt.

Honestly, I really don't think that makes a difference at this point. He's been nothing for a long time. I mean, when's the last time anyone even heard of anything about him? 5 years?
