If you want to do 25 mans, join a huge guild that does 25 mans. By farming content double time in the week just means that you will gear up to fast for them to be able to update with new content. Then you, or other people, will complain that new content is not coming fast enough.

I mean, if it was done as one of those "humorous burns", people could probably laugh and it wouldn't matter as much. But this is just purely an employee deciding to be a complete and total douchecunt, acting EXACTLY like the type of person that the Tribunal is rooting out.

When they made 10s and 25s share the same lockout, it killed pugging A LOT. My guild ATM is a 10 man guild and we are having a lot of trouble finding 25 competent people who show up on a consistent basis to raid, because we want to be a 25 man guild. If we could pug 25 mans while also being able to do the 10 man version later on with guild members, we could essentially find more people to recruit to our raids.

And shared lockouts pretty much mean you HAVE to join a guild to raid now. Everyone is in a guild now because of the huge perks it gives, and so everyone raids with their guild now. Pugs are pretty much dead because people have to save their lockout for their guild. You can no longer just log on and form a pug raid in a little bit, you have to pretty much join a guild and raid on their schedule instead of pugging and raiding on your own. And even if you manage to find a pug now, the chances of it being any good have really gone down since the people in raiding guilds can't raid with pugs now.

But anyways, I still think it was pretty retarded I got banned for suggesting something like that. I can't even see their reasoning behind it because it doesn't show up, and I have no idea how long I am banned for.

Ok, I don't really read much of the LoL forums...but does Riot ever go out of its way to insult HoN? Like the last post of the thread, basically saying "sure go play LoL but it sucks and you'll be back". From a staff member. I just can't believe people put up with that shit.

This. I think they've even gone as far as to make comments like Notch (of Minecraft) does, in that they enjoy playing competing games.

The first time I ever looked at the HoN forums, some staffer was telling a member "stfu faggot, ur just mad u got pwned" type stuff. I don't remember the exact wording, but I do remember a "faggot" name drop and something about someone being butthurt and it wasn't that a champ was overpowered but that they were just bad. There are respectful ways to say this, so I'm not at all condoning bitching about champs (nor the opening post of this thread, because supposedly the guy who posted it is a major troll that frequently trashes S2 on a blog or something), but that doesn't excuse it.

This isn't just a staffer in the sense of "forum staff" saying this. Moderators and such on their boards (like the one that does disagree) aren't on the payroll. This is an actual employee spouting this shit, and supposedly another employee chimes in later in the thread to back him up and say he wasn't out of line at all. I was not at all surprised at the numerous "lol noob got pwned gg" responses slapping the employee on the back, but I was very surprised at the number of their customers that actually posted a negative reaction, like "what. the. fucking. hell? This is the single most out of line post I have EVER seen from a company to its customer" stuff. I agree. Someone even showed a screenshot where they got banned for making a similar comment and their ban reason was "stay classy" with a lifetime ban.

LoL has had that happen - ByronicHero (or a similar name) got nailed for flaming people in game while playing, calling them racist slurs and faggot and such, even telling them straight up that he was an employee and threatened to ban them when they mentioned reporting him for verbal abuse. Difference is, this guy got fired. I'm not sure it will happen with S2. I mean, I hope it does, any other company would, but this is not the first time I've seen their staff act just like your average "l2p" kid. Maliken (president of S2) has allegedly gotten openly criticized in the past for being a rager in games and actually banning people from the game for winning, as well as it being allegedly well known that he (in the earlier days of HoN getting started) would frequently be a heavy racist and rager, stuff like "our game is like LoL, but with less niggers". I can't really say how much of that is truth, since its just things posted on reddit discussions and such about it, but it would not surprise me in the least given the things I HAVE seen.

Also, WoW's community isn't as bad as everyone ALWAYS makes it out to be. Most people compare the top guilds, personality wise, to other games and are like "omg they r so mean cus they don't want to carry me". Which is pretty much whenever resentment comes out in wow, period. That being said, it's not exactly fair.

If you want a honest comparison to communities, LoL is perfect. Compare the top guilds (who are often the asses), with the top players on LoL.

Importance is a relevant term and you're using exclusivity to try and force it onto guilds. You can't tell people what should be important to them in a game, and that's exactly what you're trying to do.
