As an aside, I'm aware that I'm terrible at picking items for Renekton: I just like arguing with Anzekay for why I'm totes right.

Please tell me that "because Kaden said so" was one of your arguments.

Starks is just not good for him at all. I'd only take Starks on Renekton if the rest of the team is mostly AD. There is just much better items on him.
Sunfire, Phage/Mallet, FoN. Lots of other choices I'd rather have than a starks for Renekton :3

I think attack speed, life steal, health regen, and armor reduction are good stats for him. All of them. It's also not very expensive.

I'd rather have most of the way to a frozen mallet, honestly.
And I'm not a huge fan of AS on him.

I agree with Kaden. AS gets your rage up more, which gives you plenty of ultility with his skills. Lifesteal with his ult puts him up with Morde in the "what do you mean I'm 1v5? I CAN BARELY FEEL IT!" Health regen just adds with the lifesteal and ult. Armor reduction with his dash and extra damage. Even with only one other AD champ, I think Starks is an excellent choice for Ren.

Oh well.
I'm still not convinced

I really like Stark's on him for the reasons mentioned. I tend to build Emblem as my first item, then get Phage, then start working on a tanky item that depends on what I'm facing. After that I come back and finish Triforce and Stark's. I like the armor reduction it gives as well as helping the team with some lifesteal. The AS isn't actually my biggest proponent but it doesn't hurt either to help me generate more Fury. All in all, for the overall cost, I'm happier with it than trying to hardcore save for a Bloodthirster or something, which I usually get later if I don't have survival issues, otherwise I build tankier. Then again, I have always built Renekton very tanky.

I have yet to see a Renekton outside of chubbs people with a starks. I remain resolute! I generally go crit gloves, boots 1, avarice blade, CDR boots, brutalizer, ghostblade then sunfire/frozen mallet/fon depending on enemy comp, then build the other two items. Last slot is a wildcard depending on what I need. That's maybe where I'd get a starks if the team comp is AD heavy, but I usually end up with an atmas', dancer or a bloodthirster. Anzekay Wrote:I have yet to see a Renekton outside of chubbs people with a starks. At least get the heavy belt from either sunfire or frozen before getting FoN. Yeah the specific item order is a bit longer than that. I usually have a mix of the items used to make those 3 before I complete one of them (depending on enemy team comp).

Tyr Wrote:At least get the heavy belt from either sunfire or frozen before getting FoN. Getting FoN with just your base health and you lose a lot of it's regenerative power. Just to be clear, you actually don't. It's regenerative power remains constant because it is a percentage. It seems like it pays off more for higher-HP champs because flat regen has so little effect when you're at 3k HP. 3% of your HP is always 3% regardless. That said. HP is real strong early game so you should get HP first anyway. ![]() "It's on my brain, driving me insane. It's on my mind, all of the time, and if it left... I would be fine."

What Tyr meant is, 3%-of-HP regen boost on 1500 HP is not as good as getting a 3%-of-HP regen boost on 3k HP.

I know, but 3% of your HP is always 3% of your HP. Additionally, your EHP sees better returns on MR/Armor than HP until you hit the ~130 mark. It's not like you'll be devastated by getting FoN before an HP item. Whether it's as efficient is arguable.

wtf no
Stop telling people I'm not actually arguing with them. How is that any fun? ![]() "It's on my brain, driving me insane. It's on my mind, all of the time, and if it left... I would be fine." |
