That last line is complete bullshit. Internet Explorer has been complete shit forever.

Not at all true.

To really get down into the grit between the big browsers these days (Chrome, Firefox, IE, Opera), you really have to start analyzing start-up time, memory footprint, etc, and get VERY hair-splitting with it. They all have essentially equivalent feature sets at this point.

Notions of 'security' tend to be based on reputation rather than actual fact. I haven't, personally, heard much of anything about security holes in IE over the last few years.

The anti-Microsoft bandwagon is wildly popular on the internet, but it's important to have facts at your disposal if you're going to criticize a product.

All that said, I use Chrome. I think it's prettier.
