^^I actually totally get that because I used to say the same thing myself several years back. I still think polyamory or serial monogamy is more 'natural' than monogamy. But I also think the most special thing about consciousness is that we can choose not to agree with our 'instinct'. I have an ongoing battle between my scepticism and crazy beliefs.

I jive pretty well with that. Serial monogamy is totally a thing. And if people are capable of real monogamy and want it, power to them. I'm not capable of it and don't want it.

Started on Anna Karenina yesterday. From what I've heard of it, it sounds like a good survey of love and its various thematic forms, from true monogamy to adultery.

Thus why I moved on to focus on other things. Its worth the occasional checking up on but not something I want an emotional attachment to nor to be the hub of my life. Its definitely not all bad, but its definitely not all good. It being referred to as a "family" is a great analogy for it.

I don't see myself ever in a relationship and at the current point in time, I'd rather have a vasectomy over having a child. I just think my current plan is just as efficient in protection against that, that it's not really necessary.

Anyway. I hate Nanowrimo, for always making me feel crappy every November. I like that I'll be leaving the country for a few weeks this Sunday. I hate that I'll miss my lady. I like that I'll not miss my shitty job.
