I don't have enough pull for my two cents to be recognized but I'd love to start roleplaying again. Yes I know there aint nothing stopping me. But as I said before in other threads asking about 'what will make you rp here again' and so forth. Put the DBZ back in Chubbs DBZ rpg and I know I can rp again.

Read over the last few pages of this thread and I started chuckling and thinking 'What the fuck am I doing here? I'm 27 years old...this is a waste of time.' and I think of all the hard slaps in the face that life has given me and where I could turn to get it off my mind, and it was usually here. The majority of it here, just writing and talking, giving my two cents and whatever.

Anyway I don't want to go on a 'I love you guys' type of deal but know that this place doesn't have to die, even though you mofos got some hostility to work out and I think an orgy could solve those dilemmas.

Bring back canons, simple shit and we'll have a rpg on our hands. Too tired to even think of giving you all any good input.

Consider yourself judged. The movie was mostly just okay. The only reason it was okay was that there was a huge fucking fight scene in it where

Yeah it was pretty epic. The first time I saw it the theater was like 'WHAT THE FUCK!' when things began to happen. Including me. It was hilarious hearing the women in the theater freaking out.

And yeah the exception was what you pointed out, I was like 'That would have been perfect.' if it was what it was.

Hate: Woke up at noon, had a dream I was a truck driver and my grandmother and mom were trying to steal my keys to prove whether or not I really had a truck...what the fuck did I eat last night?

I personally don't think its as easy as "RETURN TO CANONS AND PEOPLE WILL BE INSPIRED!" Having the name Goku or Vegeta does not create creative freedom as much as it limits it. I don't see any appeal to me having to constantly rewrite my character's history because some jackass takes over for a character who is very important to my own (such as a strong ally or wife) and decides to start fresh and ignore said history. Its totally their prerogative to not be bound to writing what someone else wants them to write; but its very frustrating on my end to have to change foundational elements of my character routinely as we rotate our member base.

True. I look at it like this. The site needs a revival. Hanging on to stories and so forth that nobody is reading and doesn't matter right now is crazy to me. It's been years since we've had canon characters. I don't know. I don't have the attachment to characters here like a lot of you do, especially those who have those histories and bonds In Character.

Hobbit was amazing. Just be prepared: the story doesn't actually end. Stupid trilogy...

I was actually pretty meh about the Hobbit. Decent, but nowhere close to the same level as the originals, IMO. Didn't seem to be edited very well, some pointless scenes, and bizarre choices to use CGI where it wasn't appropriate (see: everything about the pale orc). Some of the action itself got excessively cartoonish. There were at least two points that were supposed to be dramatic, where the ridiculousness of what was happening snapped my suspension of disbelief in half and sapped all tension from the scenes.

All in all, very weird that I even have to complain about CGI and stuff like that, as Jackson's original movies were very dark, grim and gritty feeling. The CGI that they used in those movies was mostly used to supplement shots or to do ones that were impossible in practical terms. Not sure why they didn't stick to that.

With the Hub system in place, you have the freedom to make a DBZ-canon-based RPG. Go for it.
