Gatomon will not remain in her champion form like in the show. That's unfair to the other digimon who have to stay as a rookie. Gatmon will have to stay as Salamon, or Nyaromon

Gatomon didn't get to belong to a child from in-training, therefore Gatomon got to Champion naturally before she was under the control of Kari and her Digivice.

All Digimon are subject to the Digivice with regards to digivolution once they belong to a person.

I agree with that, although I have to say there have been instances where the digivices were stolen/not working or something and they ate a lot of food and digivolved.

My thought was that it could be a reward after a long while (similar to a rarely given out ability in CDBZ) that allows you to stay in Champion form or whatever. I doubt it would unbalance things that much if people already had the form, mainly just aesthetic. I'm not too bothered myself, but it's something to keep in mind for the future when people have Megas and such.

It sucks how Gatomon was like the only small Champion in the group xD. Oh well no flying or sea rides for me if I do get Gatomon.

I think Gatomon was very strong and agile, though, that she could carry somebody and jump around and so forth.

Yeah, Gatomon was pretty chunky, bigger than the rookies by a little. Imagine hitching a ride on the back of a big panther or something.

I can't imagine Gatomon being able to carry anyone. She isn't very chunky and doesn't resemble a panther much...

Yeah, she whooped all the other champions. What I mean by chunky is disproportionately big Her paws and head are massive. Though you can't see it much from pics, she's taller than all the 'mainstream' rookies, except perhaps Renamon. And also remember that she's as powerful as any champion, so weight wouldn't be an issue.

It's just hard to imagine her being able to carry Kari, while Kari could easily put her in a backpack.
