I can't do them because most people have switched to custom or changed canon characters, so I have to wait until I see some pre-show and application roleplays. Especially if they're custom.

Look at it this way:
If you suck, you're out quickly and can move on to whatever you want to do.
If you don't suck, you get to be in more of DA's awesomeness.
