I just feel the need to ask this now. How many characters on here are skitzophrenic now? I've just been reading roleplays lately, and there have been so many people with alternate personalities. There's no other reason for asking this other than my personal desire to know. It's mainly because I'm feeling that if everyone started to have split personalities, I'd feel that my character had become cliche, at least to me. Call it stupid if you want, but I just wanted to know. Thought this was best suited to be here, as it's related to the RPG and stuff.

Silver just has people living inside his head. Not really a new personality. Though it can take over Silver's body, Once Silver dies, no more soul.

Bulma's all bubbly. Unfortunately her death has brought out a new emo side to her! A side which she has never experienced.

As for split personalities, it's always been pretty clich?, IMO. As well as having a 'dark' version of yourself. Just depends on how well you do it. 20 actually has two personalities, not just two generic opposing sides of 'good' and 'evil', which is better.

SB beat me to it. Schizophrenia, against popular belief, actually isn't multiple personalities. There actually is a "Multiple Personalities Disorder". Schizophrenia is the whole "hearing voices" thing.

I'll never say you shouldn't do something because it's cliche. Personally, your whole thing with Twenty and Gero is awesome. Plain awesome. You make it original. But, in general, multiple personalities are very cliche.

Eh, I just saw so many alternate personalities emerging, I was wondering if any character here was technically in the least bit 'sane' anymore. And Bulma, I'm not talking about "sides" of people, as people have mood swings all the time. I'm talking about an actual separate entity inside someone.

The other day we watched a video on Skitzophrenia in my Ethical Living class, and I must say it was a good video. I just hate the teacher with a passion.

But yeah. I think that having a split personality adds a sort of depth to the character. But I also think it's a bit overdone around here.

Yea, I'm getting sick of the voices after reading all these roleplays in DA. I mean, arguing with yourself is one thing. That's realistic.

The voices: It's just been really over-done.

Twenty does it okay. Koola does it okay. Everyone else leaves me confused, usually.

Yeah, it's kinda annoying how it seems EVERY newbie joins with MPD, or is taken over by some evil force. Usually doesn't end up working out too cool.

I found out about that the hard way. At first, the whole idea of the Black Demon virus was awesome, but in the end, it actually led me to a dead end roleplaying wise instead of opening more doors.

*coughs* Did you say every Newbie. I don't fall into that category. Neither do some other newbeis, who I can mention. I'm making sure my character stays unique! She will always be original! I beleive that it is always best to be original. it is the ONLY way that your character can stand out!

Yeah, every single person being 'corrupted' or something is getting annoying. I'm alright with people being psycho and stuff but Good Vs. Evil is too cliched.

I had Seventeen acting crazy on more than one point during Friend or Foe 2. I think he may have heard some voices, but that's the extent of his insanity. Now he's more like someone with bipolar disorder in the sense that his mood fluctuates way too much.

Back on topic, 20 wanted to know who DID have two personalities, not a litany of who didn't.

Yamu had another whole entity placed inside him at the same time his ki potential was artificially sparked, which for a time made him believe he was some one esle entirely with an entire differnt set of memories. Since the other guy was so similiar he has kept the same traits after realizing his entire life has been a lie.

The other personality 'Number One' comes back as 'him' so there are no real 'confrontations' merely a change in behavior.
