Alliances: A Minimal?
#1
More closely looked upon, an 'alliance' is defined as a 'formal agreement or treaty between two or more nations to cooperate for specific purposes' where we take nations and replace it with Chubbsians for this purpose.

Anyway, I thought it would look much better on our part if there was some sort of rule stating that you could only form an alliance if you have three (3) or more separate people involved in the pre-creation. Of course this would mean a little more dealing with staff (i.e. the three (or more) making individual PMs claiming their intentions to a member of staff before beginning anything)

Reason? Glancing around and finding all these meager two people groups (not singling anyone out, this has been on my mind for a while) could be more easily looked upon as an IC relationship and nothing more. At least with a third party the alliance could actually start looking formable and have more of a possibility for growth.

Any thoughts? If any should have an idea to help this along, or negate, please voice it.

I'm pretty sure that the only way you can get a forum is if you have at least 3 members.

I think he means something like, so the alliance page isn't flooded with groups of two, who haven't met IC, and just use it for HQ bonus points. Or I could be wrong, maybe it's a mix. =o

But, im for this idea. I like it. But it's not down to me. >.>

Well, not forum, just more along the lines of *creating* an alliance.

More alike to what WoW does for its participants, making them have a series of people sign a petition agreement to join before they even gain the right to be called an alliance.

And yes, Pui's got it precisely.

that's somethign I'd agree on...no benefits of an alliance until they're formed IC with 3 or more...sounds fair to me.

IIRC, it used to be a rule that alliances needed to have 3 or more members. I remember telling Max that he couldn't start an alliance by himself and post looking for members...

My idea would be that at least half of staff would need to recognise the alliance, and the would have to meet IC...

That said, I need to get in some IC RPing with Horsemen... >_>

Staff have to manually make it so that they get HQ points, so they could just not add them if the people don't meet the criteria.

As for how the alliance page looks, I think this would actually be a good idea. It doesn't need to be anything coded, but just a rule on the rules page, and include in it saying that staff have the right to kick the people out of the alliance so it disappears if they don't meet the criteria.

Its always been a 3 person minimum. O.o We just don't monitor everytime the third person goes inactive and walk in firing a shotgun.
