Yes, but KoA is a voluntary competition. Its the same as signing up to bring food to a party and then shitting on the dining room table in place of chips when you don't write. Violet puts time into running it and people say 'fuck I don't give a shit' is a little fucked up to her.

I work a 60-hour work week, come home after slaving all day in the sun, and am too exhausted to read, let alone write. It's 10:11 PM, and I've only had the time to put twenty minutes into it already.

This competition is absolutely nothing like food on a table, and running out of time for the work is nothing like shitting on the table. It's a fucking game.

Leisure is a luxury I do not have much of, and I cannot write otherwise. I thought I would have the time to handle it; I might be mistaken. I'm going to push at the piece tonight, and if I cannot get it done, then you're free to dick about my shit on a table, because you, unfortunately, have the freedom to write whatever is on your mind.
