Even then, Kojima might just want to be done with it and not bother since it is a fair amount of work to convert a game to run on the architecture of another console (ie, not 8-core'd) and claims that it would take up to 6 dual layer DVD discs for a pure port to 360.

Very true. The Blu Ray format is an extremely concentrated laser allowing more information to be put onto the disc. The 360 laser is no longer the standard for performance. Thanks Microsoft, you launched 360 before PS3, but you screwed yourselves in the long run.
