If I remember correctly, evasion negates that problem a bit. I don't remember having a problem with caster mobs. Since they were line of sight. Run behind an object and you force them to run to you. THUS! It's melee time, and you own face.

Evasion doesn't do a thing for casters.

But while LOSing things works fine, there's a number of times where you can't. Such as when you are in Ghostlands outside of that mine, where caster mobs pat around and can chain aggro. And their range can be retarded as well. You'll end up with some firing at you from each direction, immediately pop Sprint and get the hell out of there, to still die from four nukes that casted after they were off target range. Meaning the mobs broke range, ran after you a bit, and stopped to cast a 1.5 at you, and then finished before you range them again.

Annoying, and my Druid had the same issue.

It gets better in later levels for sure, although I'm not a fan right now of my rogue fighting poisoning mobs in WPL right now, since I have to stop and bandage or eat every single fight and wait for the poison to wear off.
