The reason I find it interesting is because when the guy was counting down, I listened specifically for any form of change in how the other guy pronounced his counting or breathing, and found nothing, yet I felt the bullet was in 1 myself.
However, one must note that he shot the gun on number 5 also at the wall, meaning he doubted that one.
EDIT: If it was indeed fake, most likely there was something under the table saying "#1" when he inspected it.
