Kokukashin's ears perked up a little bit whenever he overheard Zena conversing.
“The saiya-jin bloodline, as I’m sure some of you here are familiar with.” she muttered to the younger saiyan in the group.
“You’re a princess?” the boyish Saiyan asked.
“Yes my brother..."
The group continued to chat after this point, but Kokukashin would have no part in it. The pieces of the puzzle had clicked in his head. 30 years ago, when the he had still resided on Vegeta, he had heard about Princess Zena.
Despite the evidence, Kokukashin desperately tried to deny that this woman could actually be a Saiyan Princess. He let his eyes roll over her body until he spotted her brown, bushy tail.
The aged Saiyan's ears tuned back into the conversation due to somebody cursing. The dike had latched herself to Princess Zena, and had brought a small blade to her throat.
"Your titles are basically shit to me, you hear? Shit. I have seen more moons than you will ever see in your lifetime, or your children’s, or theirs. Your kind may be strong, but they are stupid little pissants-"
Kokukashin was tempted to help the young empress, but he was afraid that Uzumaki would release her wrath if he did so. Despite his growing rage towards Uzumaki and her slanders, he gradually edged back, showing that he had no interest in elevating the fight, at least for now.
“Leading is not for children, in society, it is reserved for the more seasoned, disciplined members. That would be none other than yours truly, Zena.”
A bead of sweat slid down the scientist's pale cheek, due to either the blazing heat of the sun, or the growing tension of the situation. He continued to filter out the conversation, hearing only what he wanted to hear.
“Then it’s agreed, I’ll take half, and you’ll take half, we scout the area, then meet back here with reports of our findings. Let’s try not to stay out too much after dawn, as daylight will most assuredly only make us bigger targets. Are we clear?” Uzumaki explained, still holding the knife to Zena's throat.
At the moment, the Saiyan exile had decided he had had enough. He ripped his black-blade katana sword from it's sheathe. The blade was almost five feet tall, which was only a foot shorter than Kokukashin himself. Despite this, he tore the blade through the air, until the tip was touching the side of Uzumaki's head. The masculine woman had almost no defense, as her arms were still rapped around Zena.
"Listen here bitch" Kokukashin hissed "If you insult Princess Zena, you insult all Saiyans. To me, you are just like our six enemies. I would watch my back if I were you."
He subconsciously pushed the blade closer to her, yet he did not penetrate her skull. Princess Zena gave him a slight nod, signaling that he needed to put his weapon up. With that, he slid his sword back into it's resting place, pivoting his head towards the rest of the group.
"For all we know, the other six could already be approaching this town. We don't have anymore time to waste with pointless quarrels..."
