"Move!" Wizard shouted as he felt the sand start to shift under his feet. Whatever it was, was moving very fast and had killed a man right in front of him in less then 30 seconds. "Go! Go! Go!"

The five people ran through the sand, hunted by something underneath them. The desert was seeming to stretch further and further as they tried to get off of it. "It's no use!" Juno said behind him, "There's nowhere to go!"

"That way!" Tempo said aloud, the first thing he said since arrival. "I see a rock formation! I think it's a cave!"

Wizard immediately turned on his heels, guiding the group towards where Tempo was pointing. A cave didn't exactly sound appealing, but it was better then running from something they never escape.

Just as they changed course, whatever it was that ambushed Rod Hardwood lept out of the sand, sending the grains everywhere. It was actually quite small, shaped like a scorpion. It's tail was the largest part of it's body, actually even longer then it's whole frame put together. Another popped up near it, and another by that one.

"Not good," Sophia said.

"What now, oh great leader?" Juno asked Wizard sarcastically.

He had an answer, though. Oh, yea, he did. "Fight, or die," he told them. "Just how I like it."
