The tunnel system was riddled with cameras. Some obvious, some hidden, but plenty so that Kai Demolic could get every camera angle possible. He was watching the fivesome move closer towards where he assumed would be their destination. He reached for the microphone. "Rose," he asked, "Are you in place?"
"Yes," the feminine voice said.
"Then be ready."
He clicked cameras to zoom in on the two people in the back of the group. The two women, Sage and Sophia. He was very interested in them, mainly because of the popularity they had gotten. Of course, most fans interested in them were wanting to see upskirt shots or waiting for some kind of rape scene. He wasn't going to encourage any of that. He liked the violence, but there was a line even Kai Demolic wouldn't cross.
"So run this by me again," Sebastian said behind Kai. "What's happening, now? Trisha is MIA, Balrog is on the field, and Rose is in those tunnels. What's going on in there?"
Kai directed the camera on screen to show a shot of Oliver Nash and Tempo, and then Sage, Juno and Sophia behind them. "So far, this group has effectively gotten through as a team, only losing one person. But that can only go so far. So I'll need to create a new dynamic by splitting them up."
"How are you splitting them?" Sebastian asked, curious.
"I'll use a rock formation, like so," he pressed a button, though nothing immediate happened. "Those who wind up on the left side of the separation will deal with Rose. Those on the right...will be forced to press on."
Sebastian chuckled. "Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Why Rose, though? Surely Jackson is a better choice."
"Maybe," Kai admitted. "He'd be a better choice if I wanted a brawl. But Rosemary will put on a show. Less fighting, more social interaction. They will be put to the rest, for sure."
Sebastian nodded again. Made sense.
Suddenly, without warning, surprising even Sebastian as he watched on camera, the tunnel collapsed on itself. If you blinked, you missed it.
(Sage wins a Ki Gun to be used in his saga. It can be any kind of gun she wants, if she even chooses to use it.)
