EDIT: That stuff is only cost in-effective if you never stop training troops.

My thoughts.

If someone else wants to lower certain costs for another round, that's fine, it'll happen then. I'm not about to derail this by changing everything around while its going on, that includes reducing costs. I'm not trying to make it so you can get everything quickly either. I understand the concern on if its cost effective, and yet I thought about it too. In the end, I decided I wanted to let it go a full round and see how things played out to get more understanding of those numbers for future rounds. I was especially hastened by the large number of people impatiently screaming for a reset for various reasons, so that's what we had to get going.
