This is wrong. Troops alone are not very good for any kind of combat.

Troop = 1 point.

Troop + tier1 Item = 21 points. (20 for item, the soldier is still counted separately)

It's easy to see how a small but well equipped military can defeat a large but poorly armed force. You could literally recreate the 300 Spartans scenario since 300 troops with items are worth approximately 6,300 points. Sheer troop numbers are not a good indication of one's battle strength.
