Is it just an Alliance thing?

That sums it up nicely. I've played both sides, have every class at at least 71, and pretty much everything is about even. Yes, my rogue always loses to a warrior, but my warrior always beats rogues, and hunters pwn my warrior but my rogue pwns hunters. Ret pallies, on the other hand, are bullshit overpowered, which I love when playing mine and avoid at all costs if they have full health/mana alone. Horde has tards, alliance has tards, although I swear there's a teeny favor towards horde npcs.

I noticed this when BC came out, and outside the portal are three npcs. two alliance, one a 61ish elite and the other a vanilla wuss, and the horde was a 70 elite, and maybe it's me, but in Grizzly Hills the horde npcs on my server are always winning, though that's basically the generic horde arms warrior vs. generic alliance prot warrior kinda deal.

I don't know if the term "sums it up" can be used with my massive wall of text, but yeah, haha.

I mean, every horde server I'm on has them bitching that they lose every bg, and that Blizz favors the alliance and thus makes maps ally favored. And yet every ally server I'm on, I hear the exact reverse. A ton of horde think all the ally racials, every single freakin one, are completely over powered. And allies think the same about horde racials. No, seriously. Go to the Damage Dealing forums and look at how many posts are whining about ally racials (namely Perception, Every Man For Himself, Shadowmeld, Escape Artist, Stone Form, miss racials, Gift of the Naaru even...) and just as many posts about Will of the Forsaken, War Stomp, Arcane Torrent, MISS RACIALS, Blood Fury, stun reduction talent, (anything but the Troll racials... since they are pathetic). Each post causes a series of posts of said races explaining how absolutely useless and crappy their underpowered racial is and how everyone else's racial is overpowered.

I could make a post right now titled "A Ret Pally just two shot my warlock pet" (I've seen this thread and video) and within two hours it will be 5 pages with about 9/10 of the posters being pallies explaining that the warlock just sucks and the rest of the people will be screaming "NERF PALLIES TO THE GROUND".

I... would agree with your NPC perception, honestly. And town placement in numerous situations, but again, its mostly my perception there.
