I call bullshit on your example.

In fact, in AoS, while leveling my lock pre-BC, Southshore was frequently camped to the point of me literally getting gibbed the moment I tried to log on. I'd log on in the Inn already dead due to numerous horde standing inside the town and just slaughtering anyone that was in range.

Numerous times I've gone by there on my druid and seen people bragging about camping Southshore with two or three 80s when the only allies on were in the proper level range.

I don't see how someone can seriously believe that somehow their preferred faction just happens to have the more mature players and the other faction just happened to end up with the "immature players". The point is that you are more likely to notice something when it happens to you and rubs you the wrong way and more likely to not even take in if its happening the other way around.

Numerous examples of this line of thought:

1- Every warlock feels like a tremor totem will ALWAYS break the shaman out of fear before they run out of range of the pulses. No matter how they time it, they are convinced that the shaman ALWAYS gets broken by that totem and are thus immune. They can show you many many examples to "prove" this.

2- Every shaman feels that tremor totem NEVER ticks until they are out of range of it while feared, and that the damn thing may as well be useless. They also feel that no matter how many dots, they always suffer a single fear to full duration and can quote numerous examples of "proof" to support these claims.

3- Similar to the above, all locks feel that rogues always stunlock them from 100% to 0% before the stunlock ends EVEN WITH a trinket being blown, or at least leaving them at 20% with the rogue Cloaked. Every rogue will swear that stunlock can not do this and its entirely blown out or proportion. Every player will have numerous examples to support their side and will pretty much have never seen it happen in reverse.

4- When doing arena last season, my partner and I (he being a warrior, me being a resto shaman) were playing and I would constantly find myself interrupted by RNG mace stun procs from Stormherald equipped mace spec warriors. And yet he would constantly complain that his own mace spec would NEVER proc to interrupt things. SO nearly every game was played with the most amazing timing on these Random Number Generator procs that would just happen to stop the most critical heals every time, and yet we'd see entire games where this didn't happen for us. It was all perception, we had the same proc chance that the opponents did.

5- At work, I frequently feel like I always get the last table that comes in the door. I swear I can call it every single time. IT EVEN HAPPENED TONIGHT. No matter what, people will remind me of my luck and how I always seem to get the final table at work. And yet... one of the other hostesses turned around and bitched another hostess out two nights ago with "Why the fuck do you ALWAYS give my boyfriend the last table?" because he was complaining about it (and the funny part was that he hadn't had a table since an hour before, six more tables had been sat since). I laughed about it, thinking the obvious about myself being the one, and then a third person walked in and chimed in "Bullshit, I always get the last table. Just the other week on ____ and ____ and ____" citing examples. We can't ALL be right.

6- It seems like everytime I serve a table that fits any kind of minority (to include white trash), I get screwed out of a tip. They always do things the same way, and yet never leave me a tip. Except, despite all the bad nights and constant bitching about the customers that stiff me, I forget about the good customers that surprised me and did leave me a decent tip despite fitting said stereotypes to the most perfect description. Numerous times I've had the absolute nicest upper class business people at a table with the most profane, dirty clothes wearing anal retentive drunks, and gotten 20% from the douchebags and absolutely nothing from the nice people that told me "Have a great night!" in a cheery voice on the way out the door.

People as a race essentially have both a superiority complex and a victim complex, which leads to frequent profiling of one's self as both. What happens everytime you win at a game? You clearly outplayed them. What happens when you lose? They got lucky. What happens if you play any class at all in WoW and you get a good rating? Its because you are the flavor of the month overpowered class that can be facerolled on the keyboard to instant Gladiator. What happens if you have a shitty rating and have gone up against nothing but those overplayed classes? You suck, keyboard turn, mouse click your spells, and should probably quit the game and go cut yourself because you don't know how to play your class. So its either your class is overpowered, you got carried by someone that was overpowered, or you just suck. No middle ground.

And every single person on the forum can post a different link (and will readily do so about ten times) to "prove" that a blue agrees with them, that there are statistics on many upscale sites to support them, and that you are wrong. And the very next damn post will have a link that completely supports the opposite theory with entirely new numbers. And a third will throw all THOSE out the window. All will be the most recent and 100% accurate.

Its infallible.

I am, once again, calling BS. I've leveled four characters through hillsbrad and it was CONSTANTLY under attack. Eventually people would say fuck it, and attack back. However, with people rushing to outlands/northrend, the Horde simply don't care about camping a useless village for hours.

In fact, having played Alliance and having friends who did so, we can both remember guildies spending afternoons of player killing in Hillsbrad.

I never said that they were immature. Never said camping Tarren Mill was immature, your the one who views it as such, apparently. In fact, I don't see anyone in this thread, might be wrong, who said something of this nature.


Also, as for the note of NPC placement, I'd like to note that every small alliance village in Northrend has a boss with a ton of health, and Horde, sadly, does not.

This is because of unbalanced population density on PVP servers, as Blizzard has said.
