I've recently come to the conclusion that charging people to move from planet to planet is not only counterproductive, but unnecessary. What point does it serve, other than to force people from zipping around the galaxy like a madman?
First of all, if someone wants to zip around from planet to planet, that's their business. And anything short of having a thread going on each planet, and posting in each one every day, shouldn't warrant staff trying to discourage it. Some people, for character reasons, want to be on the move all the time, doing different things and enjoying a change of scenery. Spies don't have any problem traveling from country to country in any other work of fiction, why should such a constraint exist here?
If you guys can point out why there are prices at all, other than because that's how it's always been, then I will at least listen and readjust my opinion. Maybe. Probably not, but you're free to do so.
PS: This is "for me", and kinda not for me, because I've noticed that the biggest thing that keeps people from collaborating on roleplays is having to spend hard earned zeni just to GET where the other person is.
PSS: At the very least, there should be a public transportation equivalent that is dirt cheap (like 5 zeni). Or free transport with a limit on how many times per week/month you can change planets (barring sagas and such). Idk, something other than this.
