The Like/Hate Thread

Well, sorry that you think that the "Like/Hate" thread should be renamed the "Religion Discussion Thread".

Because that's what it was becoming???

I mean, I don't care about short term discussions that are likely to hit one, maybe two pages, but something of that nature tends to go for quite a while and would be better supported without other random comments being spliced throughout it about people's work days and such. To which someone (likely Jack since he trolls this way) would inevitably respond "Stop spamming up our religion thread with your stupid CoD4 stories plz".

Which, like I said, has nothing to do with it being religion. There is no censoring or any other stupid thing going on there. I have no problem with someone going and discussing it in another thread, I just think that its a topic that will essentially take over whatever thread its in.

I understand what you mean, but you basically stopped the discussion of something that involved no flaming or disrespect whatsoever just because it was based on religion. I think, actually now, that most of us on this site are adults (18+, I know I certainly am) and I don't really need a simple, civil conversation halted just because it's about something that could potentially become dicey.

Simple conversations spawn off like/hate comments all the time, and they normally peter out after a short time. If it does start to build momentum, then it's normally moved to another thread, but that wasn't what was happening here.
