A lot of people hated it apparently, but they are most likely Aethiest dickhead losers that hated the (admittedly hamfisted) Biblical/Scientology undertones. This had potential to be the biggest movie mindfuck ever had I not stumbled upon a stream of it with 2 minutes to go last night.
Nevertheless, beautiful stuff.
I didn't hate it because of the biblical imagery, I hated it because it was the stupidest plot twist imaginable.
WHY is it aliens? Aliens did all this shit? They knew the end was coming? If they did, why not just tell us? Why implant a code into a girl's head like sixty years in the past that MAKES HER GO CRAZY as some weird attempt to warn us? And if it wasn't to warn us, as it was apparently inevitable, why do it in the FIRST PLACE? Why not just yank the kids off the planet? Why go through this stupid, overly complicated ordeal?
Know1ing was a terrible, fucking awful movie. It was interesting for a while, but once "zomg aliens" happened.... Christ.
I was laughing when the end credits rolled. Literally laughing my ASS off because it was just so stupid and heavy-handed.
