beat the text game, got A tactics and A compassion (the game is too simple), and the mmo wasn't published yesterday, it was the text game. the mmo has apparently been around for a while.
the mmo really reminds me a lot of Resident Evil: Outbreak in that you're a typical civilian trying to get by in a town gone zombie, and nobody in the whole world really cares about you or what you do. you pick a profession, which gives you starting bonuses to relevant stats (there's an RPG style leveling system), plus extra starting cash or items. RE fanatic that i am, i picked cop and started with a baretta + bullets, pocketknife, beer, and bag of potato chips, and 30 dollars.
controls are typical. WASD for movement, you point and click to attack. holding shift will make you sprint, but for a distance that is limited by your agility i think. R reloads, I for inventory, M for map (will pause single-player), P for pause (single-player only), spacebar cycles through equipped weapons (three weapon slots, can go to direct weapon with 1/2/3), and F will search corpses/cars/etc for salvageable goods.
hunger is claimed to be a big part of the game. you lose 1% hunger for every real-world hour (logged on or not) and 1% for every 2 minutes in the city. items you buy are what other players put up for sale in the marketplace, which is where you sell your salvage.
this is going to be my new internet indulgence for the next couple of weeks. there's a wiki and everything that the mmo interface links you to for all other info.
