I think the problem here is that you seem to assume such a feat is possible, the ability to absorb energy has limits. Say my character Drake who has like 20% focus, could never hope to completely absorb the energy off of a Kamehameha thrown by Kaden who's not only got like 3500 more CA but also has a focus of like 80%.
You also have to remember that as an opponent you have energy inside yourself, so even if you were as strong as Kaden and had the focus you could still only absorb so much otherwise you'd blow up.
Edit; Also you have people like Sage, and Mal who have elemental Ki which could be absorbed but not completely because their techniques are elemental in Nature.
