Energy Absorption

Josh Wrote:I think the problem here is that you seem to assume such a feat is possible, the ability to absorb energy has limits. Say my character Drake who has like 20% focus, could never hope to completely absorb the energy off of a Kamehameha thrown by Kaden who's not only got like 3500 more CA but also has a focus of like 80%.

That's fine, but a slightly extreme example.

If we were assuming a fight between relative equals, however, the technique/custom could be very powerful, equal in usefulness - if not moreso - to some Abilities. There's nothing wrong with Customs being powerful, of course, but giving you something that comes close to an Ability seems a little over the line to me. It's not just an attack that you can perform on another, its a way to both power yourself and hurt your opponent at the same time, and in a fight between equals, one would assume you could absorb a lot of their energy waves.

All assumption, though. I'd have to see you guys make an example Custom absorb to really judge what you're thinking of.
