HATE: So this Derrion Albert thing (link) has proceeded to thoroughly disturb me over the past few days. I (almost) ran into some trouble the other day, and that reminded me of how sad, stupid and random this type of stuff is. It also reminded me of how this shit happens all the time in Chicago, and that the only reason this is such a big deal is because people that would otherwise never have to see violence of this nature now can't ignore it. It's there, in their faces, and they don't know what to do.
Now it's some crusade to save the black/youths of America, and to put an end to gang violence, etc. Now people suddenly care, now it's a big deal. It's frustrating. And these rappers getting on television saying the mentality they perpetuate, and get rich off of has NOTHING to do with shit like this pisses me off. It's irresponsible. I would have more respect for these jerks if they admitted that they don't care one way or the other. Because they don't, they can't. You can't make a song called "Click Clack" where the hook is something like "BLOW HEES DAYUM HEAD OFF MY NIGGA" (made up example) and then turn around and say it's absolutely impossible that your music may have somehow influenced a gangland murder committed the following day, week, month, or even year. They turn this lifestyle into something glamorous and then just refuse to live up to their role in the life of a fatherless listener. This is not me blaming rap, it would be about as stupid as blaming video games, but hopefully you get my point. Because I can't think of a way to tie this paragraph up. BOOBIES!
I don't feel safe anymore. This can happen to anyone. I have heard of and seen so many people dying, being maimed, and turned retarded (not trying to be funny, you know what I mean) over some random beating or whatever. The majority of jumpings I have been through and witnessed, the guy is (seemingly) ok afterwards, but it can turn into murder or something more tragic than just getting beat up pretty quick. Stupid stupid stupid.
LIKE: I did 40 pushups today! Been wanting to do 40 pushups at a time all my life. Hopefully one day I can do 100
